Have you ever wondered how bourbon whiskey is actually made? David Rich of Rich Grain Distilling Co., Mississippi’s first bourbon distillery, will explain his process of making whiskey and give an overview of how it is currently and was historically produced at other distilleries. From the raw grains used, to the process of cooking mash, fermentation, distillation, barrel aging, and blending and bottling. A sampling of several different stages of Rich Grain Distilling Co. bourbon will be provided at the end of the BourbonTalk to showcase how each step along contributes to the final product.
